Precious Achiuwa is making a return to the 305.
The free agent centre/forward has agreed to a one-year deal with the Miami Heat, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported Wednesday.
Achiuwa, 26, was the Heat’s No. 20 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft and spent his rookie season in Miami.
He now reunites with his former team after spending the past four seasons with the New York Knicks and Toronto Raptors.
Toronto acquired him and Goran Dragic from Miami in the 2021 sign-and-trade deal for Kyle Lowry. In 2023, New York acquired him from Toronto along with OG Anunoby and Malachi Flynn in exchange for Immanuel Quickley, RJ Barrett and a 2024 second-round draft pick.
Last season with the Knicks, Achiuwa averaged 6.6 points and 5.6 rebounds in 57 appearances.
