Two ICE detainees have died, and a third is in critical condition after being shot by a sniper in Dallas early Wednesday morning.

The shooting happened just after 6:30 a.m. at the Dallas ICE Facility on North Stemmons Freeway.

The identity of the shooter has not yet been released.

DALLAS - A sniper died from a self-inflicted gunshot early Wednesday morning after he shot three ICE detainees at a Dallas ICE facility from a rooftop, according to law enforcement.

Officials confirmed two of the ICE detainees have died. The third was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.

Police sources say the sniper, identified as a white male, was armed with a rifle on a roof. He shot himself as agents approached him.

The investigation is ongoing.
