Texas Monthly is excited to announce the return of esteemed writer Eric Benson, who was behind numerous memorable stories in his first stint with the magazine. Benson rejoins us as a senior writer after a successful run in the podcasting world.

Benson started his Texas Monthly journey in 2014 as a multihyphenate contributor, writing about the border, politics, film and TV, food, and crime. In 2017 his cover story about cancer researcher Jim Allison won a National City and Regional Magazine Award for best profile.
