Poundland is continuing with its restructuring plan which is said to help secure the future of "thousands of jobs and hundreds of stores in the future", with its latest step being to axe over 100 head office jobs.
The budget high street chain was sold by a £1 fee back in June by the Pepco Group to the Gordon Brothers, with the company planning to "refocus and simplify" its brand.
Amidst this major overhaul, the retailer has announced that it plans to close the shutters on 68 stores across the UK, five of which are in Scotland . On top of this, shoppers are no longer able to shop on the Poundland website, which is now 'browsing only', or through the Perks app.
