Shemborlang Rynjah's exit from the post of CEM marks a significant shift in the leadership of the KHADC.

In a sudden political development in Meghalaya, Shemborlang Rynjah of the VPP has resigned as the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC), citing health concerns.

In his resignation letter to KHADC Chairman Strongpillar Kharjana, Rynjah stated that following careful consultation, he had decided that stepping down would be in the best interest of both his health and the Council.

“After careful consultation, I have come to the conclusion that due to my current health situation, it’s in the best interest for both my well-being and the office that I decided to resign,” his resignation letter read.
