OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Authorities are investigating a shooting in Southwest Oklahoma City after a man was shot after displaying erratic behavior against a police officer.
According to police, officers responded to the area near SW 64th Street and S May Avenue after a call was made by a neighbor who reported that a man was outside yelling and causing a disturbance.
Upon arrival, police say the man began throwing bricks and boards at the responding officer. The man was then shot and taken to a local hospital. No word on the individual's condition at this time.
Officials say the officer has some minor injuries but is expected to be okay.
The investigation is ongoing.
