STAFFORD, Va. (WWBT) - Stafford High School was placed under lockdown twice on Wednesday morning due to a faulty alarm.
School officials say law enforcement acted quickly to ensure everyone was safe and lockdowns were lifted.
Daily school activities have also resumed.
As a precautionary measure, a deputy will be at the school until they can figure out the malfunctioning alarm issue.
“I want to reassure you that students are safe. While there was no actual threat, we understand that these situations can feel frightening and stressful for students, staff, and families. It’s completely natural to feel anxious or unsettled during events like these,” principal Chelsea Tyron said in a statement.
