The older brother of a homicide suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that happened in Darrow last month was arrested Tuesday by Ascension Parish Sheriff deputies.

Charles Ray Jackson, 31, was booked into the Ascension Parish jail on a count of accessory after the fact to second-degree murder.

Charles Jackson is the older brother of Peyton Jackson, 17, who was arrested Sept. 4 on counts of second-degree murder, illegal use of weapons and obstruction of justice.

The Jacksons were arrested in connection with the death of Tyjon Comery, 18. Deputies originally responded to a homicide at a residence on Brown Extension Road in Darrow on Aug. 28, where they found Comery dead from multiple gunshot wounds.

Detectives said Comery was a close acquaintance of Peyton Jackson.
