COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Ahead of his October trial, a pre-trial hearing is being held Wednesday for ex-SC Rep. RJ May after multiple motions have been filed.
In September, May filed two motions, one seeking to omit evidence about the devices seized in a federal raid of his home and the other to move the location of his trial due to the amount of “pre-trial publicity.”
The government also filed two motions in September, one to admit more evidence related to May’s crimes and the devices seized from his home in August 2024, and the other responding to May’s request for a new hearing where he alleged there was “government misconduct” when obtaining his search warrant.
