The New England Patriots practice squad has been the place for teams to go of late to add to their roster.

The Cleveland Browns signed offensive lineman Thayer Munford Jr. to their active roster from New England’s practice squad on Wednesday.

The news comes a day after the New York Jets poached linebacker Mark Robinson from the Patriots .

Munford will take the place of Dawand Jones, who the Browns placed on injured reserve after the offensive tackle suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 3.

Munford signed with the Patriots in August but did not appear in game this season. Prior to his brief stint in New England, the offensive lineman spent the past three seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders and made 18 starts during that stretch.
