DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - A 68-year-old man is facing charges after allegedly hitting two pedestrians on West Skyline Parkway on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Duluth Police Department, officers responded to the 3800 block of West Skyline Parkway for a report of two people who were hit by a vehicle heading westbound on West Skyline.
The pedestrians who were struck, a 58-year-old woman and a 74-year-old man, were treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene afterward and was later found. He is currently being held at a local hospital. Once cleared, he will be lodged at the St. Louis County jail for pending charges of Criminal Vehicular Operation.
Police say there were no signs of impairment to the driver.
