We’ve all heard the mantra, “Elections have consequences.” It’s painfully obvious at the national level and, as we’re starting to see in real time here in Boston, it applies to municipal elections, too.
A case in point: Last week, The Reporter was first to report that the Boston Legacy Football Club secured a $100 million financing package that will allow the women’s soccer franchise to finish its construction work at White Stadium.
The news broke one week after Mayor Wu’s 49-point victory over Josh Kraft and two other opponents— all of whom, incidentally, railed against her decision to lease the stadium to the pro team for roughly 40 days per year.
