BEREA, Ohio (WKBN) - Cleveland Browns kicker Andre Szmyt was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for week three.
The National Football League made the announcement on Wednesday.
Szmyt converted the game-winning 55-yard field goal in the Browns' thrilling 13-10 win over Green Bay last Sunday.
He also converted a 35-yard field goal and an extra point, all in the fourth quarter against the Packers.
This is the first career weekly league award for Szmyt. He is the first Browns player to be named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week since K Dustin Hopkins won in Week 7 in 2023.
The Browns will visit the Detroit Lions on Sunday at 1 p.m. on FOX Youngstown.
