Akron's firefighters' union voted 347-5 on Sept. 23 to reject a neutral fact finder's report assembled as part of its contract negotiations with the city.

In a news release, leaders of International Association of Fire Fighters Local 330 said the biggest sticking point was a proposed health insurance rate increase on members proposed by the city, an increase the fact finder agreed with.
