Canadians could soon see upgrades on their WestJet flights, with refreshed cabins featuring new layouts and more options to fit every budget.
On Sept. 23, WestJet announced that its economy-only Boeing 737-8 MAX and 737-800 aircraft will undergo major upgrades and cabin reconfigurations that will provide travellers with various seating options at different price points on flights.
The upgraded cabin will also feature slim-line seats that create additional space to accommodate an additional seating row. WestJet stated that doing so helps reduce the cost per seat, providing travellers with affordable fares and options.
“The cabin has been thoughtfully designed to offer WestJet’s welcoming service at every budget,” said Samantha Taylor, the airline’s executive vice-president and chief ex
