The National Weather Service forecast for the greater San Francisco Bay Area for Wednesday calls for chances of showers and thunderstorms throughout the day for most of the region.
Daytime highs will be in the mid to upper 70s on the coast and around the bay, and in the low to high 80s inland. Overnight lows will be mostly in the low 60s.
Forecasters say showers and thunderstorms moved in from the southeast early Wednesday morning, bringing rain and lightning to parts of Monterey County and the Central Coast. Some stations reported measurable rain, with moisture levels highest along the Central Coast, where storms are most likely.
