Former New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees celebrates being inducted into the New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame during a halftime ceremony at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Oct. 17, 2024.

Drew Brees is among those who haven't been overly impressed by the Philadelphia Eagles' 3-0 start to the 2025 NFL season.

The erstwhile New Orleans Saints quarterback noted he has "respect" for Philadelphia's undefeated start in his first appearance as a weekly contributor on ESPN's "First Take" Wednesday.

However, Brees was also critical of the way their offense had performed through three weeks.

"I can't stand to watch that offense," Brees said. "It's the most boring offense. It is. I'm sorry."

Brees did not elaborate on what specifically makes Philadelphia's offense "boring" in his eyes. It's worth noting the Eagles have the highest run-play percentage in the NFL (54.1%) and have averaged just 268.7 yards per game (seventh-fewest in the NFL) despite ranking fifth league-wide in time of possession per game.

All that's to say the Eagles aren't exactly an explosive offense, as their 4.4 yards per play ranks sixth-worst in the NFL.

The Eagles have also received plenty of criticism for their reliance on their signature "Tush Push" play. Many believe Philadelphia has an unfair advantage running the sneak, as the Eagles have appeared to get away with numerous false starts and misalignments on the play which Fox rules analyst Dean Blandino called it "a hard play to officiate."

Regardless of what is causin Brees' disdain of the Eagles offense, the 46-year-old said he "absolutely" believes the team can challenge for a Super Bowl.

But first, he wants to see the team firmly take control of the NFC East after they had a close, Week 1 win over the Cowboys.

"Hey, if CeeDee Lamb can catch a post route in Week 1, the Cowboys have them beat," Brees said.

"That's the toughest division in football," he added of the NFC East. "Let's see how it plays out."
