In the Michigan High School Coaches Association boys soccer state rankings for Week 5, Sept. 22, we saw one team take over a No. 1 spot.
Making an appearance as the No. 1 team in Division 2 is Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central, which moved up one spot and surpassed previously-No. 1-ranked Hudsonville Unity Christian, which dropped to No. 2.
Portage Central Lake (D1), Detroit Country Day (D3) and Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett (D4) all maintained their No. 1 rankings in their respective Divisions .
Making up the top five in D1 were Portage Central, Ann Arbor Huron, Clarkston, Okemos and Hartland.
