Former EastEnders star Rita Simons has revealed the ‘gorgeous’ wedding present she received from her boyband ‘bestie’.

The popular Roxy Mitchell actress , who left the soap in 2017 alongside her onscreen sister Samantha Womack, announced her engagement to actor turned podcast host Ben Harlow at the beginning of the year.

Initially meeting while working together on Legally Blonde the Musical in 2017, the future spouses remained friends for several years.

Eventually becoming a couple in 2020, the past few months have seen Rita providing regular wedding planning updates.

On Wednesday, September 16, Rita and Ben tied the knot in front of their family and friends at a ceremony held at the Hidden River Barn, located in Carlisle.
