QUAD CITIES, Iowa/Ill. (KWQC) -- YOUR FIRST ALERT FORECAST FROM CHIEF METEOROLOGIST ERIK MAITLAND:
Looks like our Fall “doldrums” begin Thursday as our skies become mostly sunny and our temperatures start rising into the 80s. This rain-free pattern will remain in place through the beginning of October.
Highs will hit the upper 70s Thursday. Friday we’re back to the 80s and stay there into the middle of next week!
Unfortunately, the long-range outlook for rain is not very good. Forecasts out to 14 days keep us bone dry! This will be great for progress in the fields but a lot of our lawns will remain crunchy!
