The National Weather Service released an updated flood advisory at 4:52 p.m. on Wednesday in effect until 6 p.m. for Schoharie County.

The weather service adds to anticipate, "Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues."

"Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas," describes the weather service. "In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route."
