CLEVELAND, Ohio — Rain is back across Northeast Ohio Wednesday, bringing the wettest stretch the region has seen in weeks.
The steadiest showers are expected through the afternoon before tapering off to more scattered activity overnight and Thursday.
Most areas will pick up around a half-inch of rain, according to the National Weather Service. But slow-moving thunderstorms could bring a rumble of thunder and deliver 1 to 2 inches or more in spots, especially around Cleveland.
“Will have to keep an eye out for at least a low potential for minor flooding where storms persist,” meteorologist Patrick Saunders wrote in a morning discussion .
The rain and clouds will keep temperatures cooler on Wednesday, with highs reaching only the low 70s.
