CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cleveland has been officially named the host city for the 2030 Special Olympics USA Games, officials announced in a news release.
The signed ceremony at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Key Tower in Downtown Cleveland was attended by David Gilbert, president & CEO of the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission; Jessica Stewart, president & CEO of Special Olympics Ohio; Greg Epperson, regional president and managing director for Special Olympics North America; and Special Olympics Ohio athlete Adam Gilmer.
The Games will bring thousands of athletes, coaches and spectators to Northeast Ohio, highlighting inclusion and athletic achievement.
