Knox Democrats to host Truman Day Dinner

Former Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear will be the scheduled speaker at the Knox County Democrats’ annual Truman Day Dinner and Fundraiser. The Friday, September 26, event starts at 6 p.m. at Bridgewater Place, 205 Bridgewater Road, and will feature local political leaders, candidates and Tennessee Representatives Gloria Johnson and Sam McKenzie.

Beshear, the father of current Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, is being mentioned as a possible candidate for president and is the author of the book “People Over Politics.” Past chairpersons and notable Democrats will be highlighted.
