Boffins reckon they have received a signal from a parallel universe.
In 2019 gravitational wave detectors on Earth picked up a ripple from deep space that left scientists baffled.
The signal - less than a tenth of a second long - was shorter than usual and experts could find no apparent origin.
Now they reckon the strange ripple - dubbed GW190521 - could have arrived from a parallel universe via a wormhole.
A team led by Dr Qi Lai, of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, believes it could be an ‘echo’
