DENHAM SPRINGS, La. (WAFB) - Voters in Denham Springs will soon get to decide on a tax renewal to maintain the parks in Denham Springs.

If you visit South Park in Denham Springs, you’ll likely find Paul Leonard playing disc golf with some friends.

“There’s plenty of shade, it’s easy to find the holes, and it’s not a super long walk, like some parks you go to, you get 10k steps every time, but over here it’s nice and a little bit shorter,” explained Leonard.

Superintendent of the Denham Springs Parks and Recreation Department, Gary Templeton, said it’s just one of the many amenities people can enjoy at their four parks throughout the city, thanks to their millage.
