The Alabama Republican Party is celebrating the fact that every candidate supported under the Party’s new municipal program won their race in this week’s runoff elections.

Included in the victories was the Mobile mayoral race, where long-time Democrat State Representative Barbara Drummond—endorsed by Vice President Kamala Harris and Senator Raphael Warnock—was defeated by former Republican District Judge Spiro Cheriogotis.

“The Alabama Republican Party was proud to stand behind our conservative candidates in these municipal runoffs, ALGOP Chair John Wahl said.

“Voters deserved to know the facts about every candidate and where they stood on the issues. We are not shy about fighting for good policy and strong conservative principles—whether it’s in Washington, Montgomery, or at City Hall.
