HERRIN — With a mission that no child should have to sleep on the floor, officials with Sleep in Heavenly Peace say a new acquisition in Herrin will help bring them closer to that goal.

The nonprofit, which builds and delivers beds for children in need, has purchased Sterling Mattress Factory in Herrin. It’s the group’s first acquisition since it began more than a decade ago.
