ABC Columbia(CNN)– Aldi is rolling out a massive packaging redesign.
A number of private labels will be replaced with the Aldi name to form the discount grocer’s first-ever namesake brand.
Other private brands like Clancy’s, Simply Nature, and Specially Selected will keep their names.
But they’ll get new packaging that includes a badge that reads an “Aldi Original.”
Some items will be renamed with shopper nicknames.
For example, Kirkwood frozen chicken items will be renamed “Red Bag chicken.”
It’s a big refresh, as 90% of Aldi’s products are private label.
