That’s the annual salary an individual Coloradan needs to secure happiness according to a report by GoBankingRates . It took a Purdue University study on the cost of happiness, then adjusted it in each state based on their respective costs of living.
Colorado ranks No. 16 on the list, with the minimum salary needed driven up by higher-than average cost of living. The study said you can still be content at the “emotional well-being” stage of life starting at $64,140.
Nationally, Purdue placed a price tag on happiness starting at $105,000, with the cost of being content at the “emotional wellbeing stage” of life at $60,000.
