KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) - It seems Andy Reid will be sticking with starting right tackle Jawaan Taylor, despite his penalty issues.

Taylor currently leads the league in penalties with seven and committed four penalties alone in the Chiefs' Week 1 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.

This has been a recurring problem for Taylor ever since he signed with the Chiefs in 2023, as he has led the league in penalties over the last three seasons.

But, while Taylor has been penalized often, he has done a solid job protecting Patrick Mahomes, the main reason why Reid will likely continue to start him.

"When he doesn't have the penalties, his percentage has been good," Reid said. "You could argue one of the better tackles in the pass protection game."
