FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill. (First Alert 4) - A driver crashed into a squad car in the Metro East on Wednesday morning.

The Fairview Heights Police Department said an officer pulled over a car for an expired license plate around 9 a.m. on Old Collinsville Road near Frank Scott Parkway. The squad car was fully marked and had emergency lights on when the officer exited and walked up to the vehicle pulled over.
