There will be an increased police presence, including a temporary road closure, near Weyburn on Wednesday as the RCMP continues its investigation into the death of a woman shot and killed while riding in an SUV.
On Sept. 12, Tanya Myers, 44, and another woman were driving toward Weyburn on Highway 39 in a Ford Explorer around 8 p.m. CST when Myers, who was in the passenger seat, was fatally struck by a bullet, according to RCMP.
As part of the continuing investigation, Range Road, from 2150 to 2153, will be closed between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Traffic will be re-routed while officers are on scene. Police are asking motorists to slow down and follow directions in the area, and say drivers can expect delays.
