Calgary Police are looking for a woman they say "altered" a pathway barrier under the Reconciliation Bridge, resulting in the death of a elderly cyclist.

The collision happened on the morning of Thursday, Sept. 18, on a pathway under the bridge in the 500 block of Riverfront Avenue S.E. 

Police say a woman can be seen on CCTV "interfering" with the barrier. 

Just minutes later, a cyclist in his 80s riding an e-bike eastbound on the path collided with the swinging arm of the barrier.

Police say the man was unaware the barrier had been moved.

He was knocked from his bike and taken to hospital, where he died on Friday, Sept. 19.
