CHICAGO - A Chicago native will be the first stand-up comedian to headline a show at Wrigley Field.

4-time Emmy-winning comedian, John Mulaney , is bringing his “ Mister Whatever” tour to the home of the Chicago Cubs on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

“Andre Dawson, Mark Grace, Ryne Sandberg, Joe Girardi, John Mulaney. All of these names are people who were paid for work on Wrigley Field and I join that list,” Mulaney said on his X page . “First comedian to ever play Wrigley Field in its history. I’m very honored here in my hometown.”

The tour also brings him to Detroit for two shows at the Fox Theatre and one show at The Fillmore on October 16, 17 and 18 of this year.
