To better serve the community in more accessible locations, the Lethbridge Public Library is reopening the BookStop, a pop-up library located inside the Labor Club Ice Centre on the north side of the city.

From September until March 2026, library members can use the BookStop to pick up holds, browse and check out books from a curated collection, and return items—without needing to travel to other parts of the city. Sarah Head, Manager Branch Services at the Library explains more.

The first time the BookStop opened its doors at the Labor Club Ice Centre was from January 20 to March 31, 2025. During that period, there were over 960 checkouts and more than 800 holds sent for pickup
