The state Department of State has approved funding for several town of Roxbury projects as part of its nearly $10 million state Downtown Revitalization grant, awarded to the hamlets of Roxbury and Grand Gorge in 2024.

Town Supervisor Allen Hinkley said Tuesday, Sept. 23 that the first step in the process after the grant was awarded was to develop a local planning committee to review the applications that were submitted and make recommendations to the state. It was formed in late June 2024.
