The Delaware County Board of Supervisors has scheduled a public hearing for Oct. 8 at the Delaware County office building on a local law authorizing 12- to 13-year-old licensed hunters to hunt deer under adult supervision.
The local law, pending county approval, would allow youth hunters to continue participating in a 2021 state-established pilot program that initially allowed them to hunt deer with firearms or crossbows in the county through this year. The state recently extended the program through 2028.
