CLEVELAND, Ohio — New York Giants fans don’t have to wait any longer for their rookie quarterback to get his feet wet.
After just three weeks, Jaxson Dart will make his first career start this Sunday when the Giants host the Los Angeles Chargers.
The announcement was made by head coach Brian Daboll on Wednesday.
“It’s my decision. We’re going with Jaxson. We’re going to get him ready to play this week and for the remainder of the season,” Daboll said . “He’s gonna do everything he can. Russ will be the backup. The conversations that I’ve had with these young men will be private. ”
This comes after the Giants started the season with a winless 0-3 record, with two of those losses being double-digit defeats.
