GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Special Olympics New York is returning to Glens Falls. The event will bring together hundreds of athletes and coaches from throughout New York in seven sports.
Officials said students with and without disabilities compete as teammates in sports such as cycling, equestrian, soccer and more. All Special Olympics New York programs are offered at no cost to athletes, their families or caregivers.
Because of this, Special Olympics New York CEO Stacey Hengsterman spoke about how imporant it is to get volunteers to the event.
