NEWBURGH, Ind. (WFIE) - Officials are releasing new information on an accident involving a young girl and semi truck in Newburgh.
The Warrick County Coroner’s Office has identified the young girl who died while riding her bike Tuesday evening.
Officials identified the victim as Allison Lowery, 12, of Newburgh.
Sheriff Mike Wilder says Allison was trying to cross the street at Sharon Road and SR-66 when she was hit by a semi truck.
“The semi did have a green light, he did not run a red light or a yellow light, he did have a green light and we don’t really believe that his speed was a factor too,” Warrick County Sheriff Mike Wilder said."
