FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — Fairfax County Police have released a photo of a vehicle they say is linked to a deadly hit-and-run crash in the Hybla Valley area.

Police say 62-year-old Trina Jones of Alexandria was killed when she was struck by a black Mercedes at the intersection of Richmond Highway and Belford Drive on Tuesday.

Emergency personnel and police responded to the scene around 8:39 p.m.

A police officer responding to the scene also struck the pedestrian, who was still in the roadway, police disclosed on Wednesday.

Despite emergency personnel administering life-saving measures, the woman was pronounced dead after being taken to a local hospital.
