A man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly stabbing a straphanger who was talking on a cellphone in Queens, police said.
Luis Pallchisaca, 21 was charged with attempted murder and assault for the Sunday night attack of a 25-year-old man, cops said. Pallchisaca allegedly knifed the victim multiple times in the neck and back on a southbound 7 train as it approached the 111th St. Station in Corona about 11:20 p.m.
The victim was approached from behind on the moving train, cops said.
Pallchisaca — wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the word Champion written in white lettering, grey sweatpants, and black sneakers — took off immediately when the train pulled into the station.
The victim was taken to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Queens in critical condition.
