Possible school threat under investigation

LONDON, Ky. (WYMT) - The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a potential threat involving a middle school.

The sheriff’s office posted Wednesday evening that deputies are aware of the potential threat involving North Laurel Middle School, which was shared on social media by a parent.

The sheriff’s office says it is actively working in coordination with school police to ensure the safety of all students and staff.

As a precaution, there will be extra deputy patrols in the area.
