MOSNON, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - On Thursday, the Town of Monson stated that Police Chief Stephen Kozloski announced his retirement.

Kozloski began his service with the Monson Police Department back in 1992 as a part time officer before becoming a full time patrolman in 1996. He then proceeded to continue to rise through the ranks to become the Chief of Police in 2005.

Throughout those 20 years as the head of Monson Police, Chief Kozloski has received several commendations for leadership, such his role in the aftermath of the June 2011 tornado that had ripped through the town.
