HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A high-ranking Hendersonville firefighter is accused of attacking a teenager.

Court records show Hendersonville Division Chief Jamie Cossler is charged with felony aggravated assault from a fight that occurred earlier this week.

He is out of jail on a $30,000 bond.

The City of Hendersonville provided News 2 with a statement:

The Hendersonville Fire Department is aware that Division Chief Jamie Cossler was recently arrested and charged with aggravated assault involving a juvenile.

Cossler has submitted his retirement effective September 22 and is no longer employed at the City.

Cossler had been with the Hendersonville Fire Department for 34 years.

Documents show Cossler is set to appear in court on Oct. 8.
