Joe Jonas wasn’t going to be a sucker when it came time to promote Krispy Kreme 's National Coffee Day deal, which can get you a free coffee and doughnut on Monday, Sept. 29.

The doughnut chain enlisted the singer-songwriter and actor to help celebrate National Coffee Day. “I went and found the Krispy Kreme team and sat down with them, and I said, ‘I want to make National Coffee Day history,’ and that’s what this is,” said Jonas, who is described as a longtime Krispy Kreme fan in a news release.

Jonas negotiates the coffee and doughnut freebie in a fun video posted on Instagram and TikTok . When told the promo being taped is only about free coffee, Jonas says, “Well, you can’t have coffee without a doughnut.”
