THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A Bronx family says their NYCHA apartment has become unlivable, not because of leaks, but because of hornets allegedly nesting inside the walls.

Drew Ann Dejesus, who lives at Highbridge Gardens, tells PIX11 News she can’t sleep at night knowing the insects are invading her home.

Her 15-year-old brother Lucas, who has autism, no longer feels safe in his own room after dozens of hornets were found crawling near his bed. Despite repeated visits from exterminators, Dejesus says the hornets keep coming back, slipping through cracks in the walls and bricks.
