MAHOMET, Ill. (WCIA) - The Mahomet-Seymour football team found itself in a position which its not overly familiar with.

The Bulldogs started the year 0-2, with losses to Morton and Morris. They didn't the panic button, but instead responded with back to back dominant wins. MSHS beat Sycamore 45-16 in week three and topped Taylorville 69-27.

"What I am proud of is the way that we've stayed the course," Mahomet-Seymour head football coach Jon Adkins said. "We stayed positive throughout the 0-2 start."

Mahomet-Seymour needed guys to step up from a leadership standpoint, on a team without a heavy senior presence. Adkins says several guys have answered that call.
