WORLD GOLF VILLAGE, Fla. — A legal battle could keep the World Golf Village closed for years. While two redevelopment proposals are on the table , there’s a major roadblock standing in the way.

The Hall of Fame building and surrounding parcels have been shuttered and stuck in legal limbo for months. Two redevelopment plans exist – one for healthcare, another for recreation – but a decades-old legal restriction could block both.

World Golf Village was once the centerpiece of a $300 million vision – a global golf destination combining golf, entertainment, and tourism. Now, the Hall of Fame building and many surrounding parcels sit empty.

Christine Keller, who owns Trilogy Salon and Suites, has been in business next to the former Hall of Fame building for five years.
